Sacramento Real Estate by Julie Jalone Series: Part 1 - Is it the right time to buy a home in Sacramento?

Depending on where you are looking we have seen double digit declines
in home prices throughout the Sacramento area. At the same time we are seeing 30-year fixed rate mortgages at very attractive
rates. During late 2004 and the spring of 2005 it wasn’t uncommon for
me to be talking to people who wanted to buy their first home and hearing how they would never be able to afford to buy a
house and wondering if they would ever move out of an apartment. Today these same folks have their choice. There are some
really great homes on the market that I believe are priced very well. Take a look at one of my listings in Rocklin and see how much house you can get for your dollars! Now having said all that, it doesn’t mean you should rush out today
and buy a house. Before you start making offers consider these following questions: Should you stay where you are? Are you financially prepared to be
a homeowner? How much can you pay for a home? Do you know what you want in a home?
This was part one of my five part “Is it the right time to buy a home?” series. Visit my personal website, www.jalone.com or click here if you want to read the entire series where we consider: Is it the right time
to buy a home? Should you stay where
you are? Are you financially
prepared to be a homeowner? How much can you
pay for a home? Do you know what
you want in a home? Julie Jalone is an experienced Realtor with MagnumOne Realty in Roseville and she and her team work
